about us

ceramic tile shower renovations and remodelling

At the heart of Belle Construction is an amazing team of people. It’s our passion for what we do and how we do it that allows us to stand out from other construction and renovation companies – as well as boasting a majority female workforce in all areas of the company. We take pride not not only in our dedication to our exceptional craftsmanship and our distinct expertise in what we do but, also, in our honesty and approachability.

These qualities are mentioned time and again by our clients and that means the world to us. We want to be the family-orientated, friendly, authentic renovation team you trust in, with skills and workmanship you’ll admire for years to come. Oh and, you know, just happen to be the innovators promoting and supporting women in trades.

kendall ansell female general contractor

kendall ansell

principal and founder
Kendall has always believed that happiness starts at home. Growing up, she spent most of her weekends helping her Dad, a contractor, with family projects. This influenced and shaped her passion for exploring how people live, one nail and paint swatch at a time. It’s unsurprising that those childhood experiences developed into a promising career. Kendall studied architectural drafting at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, then completed the Interior Design Management Program at the BCIT. This background, coupled with her inclusive approach, allows Kendall to create homes and office spaces that really do bring her clients’ dreams to life. When she’s not being a Fairy Designmother, gender-smashing business owner, Kendall loves to spend time with her family, at home reading and cooking (between working on home projects of her own) or hiking and biking in BC’s beautiful outdoors.
luke hull construction company manager

luke hull

general manager
Luke’s background in management began at a very young age. Starting his career at just 16 years old, he quickly developed a broad range of management skills while working for some of Canada’s most prominent companies. After a brief detour via UBC’s Sauder School of Business, where he gained his Mortgage Broker qualification, he returned to the world of management, realizing this is where his true passions lay. He now works as General Manager for both Belle Construction and Kendall’s interior design business, Kendall Ansell Interiors. Luke loves to spend time with his family and friends, as well as going off to explore new places or sampling some of Vancouver’s craft cocktail hotspots in his spare time!
emma snowden renovation contractor

emma snowden

Prior to discovering her passion for woodworking, Emma first obtained her Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. She went on to attend BCIT, where she earned her Red Seal Certification in Joinery in 2008. It was that accreditation which led to her working in the woodshop for a boat company building 150-foot superyachts! An impressive entry on any resume, we’re sure you’ll agree. Emma began working as a contractor in 2014 and it was here she fell in love with the many parts involved in the process of renovating. Emma lives in Coquitlam with her husband and two daughters. She loves to take her dog, Birdy the Hungarian Vizsla, on long walks through the parks and trails of the Tri-City area.
lisa mullan kitchen and bathroom renovation designer

lisa mullan

Lisa is a former professional hockey player who moved to Vancouver from Toronto where she worked for a female-led renovation company. Clearly she was destined to work at Belle Construction! Lisa loves being creative and working with her hands. When she’s not working on renovations for us, she makes tiny homes and converts camper vans using mostly recycled materials. She even recently traveled North America for six months in one of her self-made camper vans, which we’re sure you’ll agree is an amazing achievement. Lisa is now very excited to call Vancouver home and she raves about being part of such a great team and special company. We feel the same about you working with us, Lisa!

work with us!

The Construction industry is one that typically has turned its back on women and the LGBTQ community. Talented tradeswomen need to be mentored in an environment where they feel empowered and safe to grow and develop and Belle Construction will be an opportunity for them to do just that. Belle Construction wants to provide opportunities to be a catalyst for change, and we’re hiring!
