about us

ceramic tile shower renovations and remodelling

At the heart of Belle Construction is an amazing team of people. It’s our passion for what we do and how we do it that allows us to stand out from other construction and renovation companies – as well as boasting a majority female workforce in all areas of the company. We take pride not not only in our dedication to our exceptional craftsmanship and our distinct expertise in what we do but, also, in our honesty and approachability.

These qualities are mentioned time and again by our clients and that means the world to us. We want to be the family-orientated, friendly, authentic renovation team you trust in, with skills and workmanship you’ll admire for years to come. Oh and, you know, just happen to be the innovators promoting and supporting women in trades.

kendall ansell female general contractor

kendall ansell

principal and founder
Kendall has always believed that happiness starts at home. Growing up, she spent most of her weekends helping her Dad, a contractor, with family projects. This influenced and shaped her passion for exploring how people live, one nail and paint swatch at a time. It’s unsurprising that those childhood experiences developed into a promising career. Kendall studied architectural drafting at Kwantlen Polytechnic University, then completed the Interior Design Management Program at the BCIT. This background, coupled with her inclusive approach, allows Kendall to create homes and office spaces that really do bring her clients’ dreams to life. When she’s not being a Fairy Designmother, gender-smashing business owner, Kendall loves to spend time with her family, at home reading and cooking (between working on home projects of her own) or hiking and biking in BC’s beautiful outdoors.
luke hull construction company manager

luke hull

partner / general manager
Luke Hull started in management at age 16 and through the following years, with positions in some of the most prominent companies around the world, continued to develop those skills. Having earned his Bachelor of Arts Degree with a double major in Business and Theatre, he has developed a range of skills to help develop leaders and manage operations. Luke decided to switch gears for a couple years to obtain his professional designation as a Mortgage Broker from the University of British Columbia’s Sauder School of Business. He was able to broaden his skill set before realizing his true passion for operations and returned to become the General Manager of Kendall Ansell Interiors and Belle Construction. His personal time is generally split between family and friends exploring new places or visiting Vancouver’s craft cocktail hot-spots.
emma snowden renovation contractor

emma snowden

carpenter
Prior to discovering her passion for woodworking, Emma first obtained her Bachelor of Environmental Studies from the University of Waterloo. She went on to attend BCIT, where she earned her Red Seal Certification in Joinery in 2008. It was that accreditation which led to her working in the woodshop for a boat company building 150-foot superyachts! An impressive entry on any resume, we’re sure you’ll agree. Emma began working as a contractor in 2014 and it was here she fell in love with the many parts involved in the process of renovating. Emma lives in Coquitlam with her husband and two daughters. She loves to take her dog, Birdy the Hungarian Vizsla, on long walks through the parks and trails of the Tri-City area.

michelle diaz

operations manager
Michelle has come to the Belle Construction team with 15 years of construction and industry experience. Her passion for the industry led her to manage showrooms and coordinate large construction projects in Metro Vancouver. In her spare time Michelle likes to explore her local North Shore mountain trails or head down to the beach for a day of sunning, she enjoys a good crossword puzzle, and loves to spend time with family and friends. She provides a wealth of knowledge and service to all the clients she works with.

work with us!

The Construction industry is one that typically has turned its back on women and the LGBTQ community. Talented tradeswomen need to be mentored in an environment where they feel empowered and safe to grow and develop and Belle Construction will be an opportunity for them to do just that. Belle Construction wants to provide opportunities to be a catalyst for change, and we’re hiring!
